Assistant Pastor Anthony Polotzola
Bro. Anthony Polotzola was born on December 30, 1968 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Rev. and Mrs. Charles Polotzola. He was raised in Melville, Louisiana and attended the First Pentecostal Church pastored by Rev. Ray Majors.
Bro. Polotzola always felt a call to work for God, and began teaching Sunday School at the age of 16. After high school graduation in 1986 from Melville High School, he attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education in 1990. After working briefly for a private company, he began teaching at a local high school and began working towards earning a master’s degree. Bro. Polotzola graduated with a Master of Science in 1992 from LSU in Career and Technical Education. After teaching at several public high schools for 12 years, as well as for several education consortiums, he was appointed principal of Cecilia High School, a position he has held for the past seven years.
He began his ministry after completing his graduate degree, and began to assist in many capacities in his home church, as well as preaching in churches in several states. Bro. Polotzola also served a brief tenure as music director at the FPC of Baton Rouge under the pastorate of Bro. Curtis Young. After being appointed as principal, he moved to Lafayette, Louisiana and began attending Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was asked to serve as Assistant Pastor, and has served at Calvary Pentecostal Church since that time.
